If you enjoy a bit of market shopping, then head to The Adelaide Central Market. You will find plenty of fruit, meat, vegetables and gourmet produce. If you prefer the retail shopping style, then Rundle Mall is perfect for you, with over 600 stores.

The dining scene is also great with many restaurants lining the bustling Gouger and Rundle Streets where the restaurants offer a vast variety of European to South Pacific meals. There are also plenty of other eating precincts including Waymouth Street, Halifax Street, Hutt Street and Leigh Street.  Melbourne or O’Connell Street are positioned within North Adelaide and are very popular due to their awesome pubs and restaurants too.

There is more to Adelaide than you think. Take a tram ride just 12kms out of the city and you will come to the beautiful seaside precinct of Glenelg, which is Adelaide’s major beach. Travel by car or take a tour out to the Adelaide wine region, visit famous The Barossa Valley and sample some of the beautiful wines on offer.

Tourist can take a short flight or ferry ride over to Kangaroo Island which is a scenic place to visit with magnificent cliff structures and clear, secluded beaches. You might be lucky enough to see the sea lions and penguins and possibly whales in the winter months.

Adelaide is a wonderful place with so many sites to see. Stay at an Oaks Hotels & Resort property today and enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer.
