Launching on March 24, 2012 the exhibition will feature artworks by some of the world’s most distinguished artists of the Belle Époque period, including Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edouard Vuillard, Edouard Manet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre Bonnard, Auguste Rodin, Berthe Morisot and Jean François Millet, the ‘Modern Women: Daughter and Lovers’ exhibition is characterised by optimism and commemorates the radical transformation of French society, in particular the changing role of women between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
