Moreton Bay Regional Council rolled out the red carpet for the 2011 Moreton Bay and Island Tourism Awards last Thursday evening July 21.
Taking out the award for best New Tourism Development was the stunning Oaks Mon Komo.
Mon Komo (meaning My Dream Place) is idyllically positioned on the Redcliffe Esplanade. With stunning, unobstructed sea views; 76 spacious apartments occupy 12 levels with one, two and three bedroom self contained apartments infused with Queensland coastal décor and beach house ambience. Leisure facilities are equally impressive with a large, lagoon sized pool, pool deck, fully equipped gymnasium and soon to be opened bar, bistro and retail precinct.
“We are extremely proud Oaks Mon Komo has been recognised after only being open a matter of months,” said Oaks Hotels & Resorts Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Queensland, Sally Scott.
The property is already supremely popular with travellers with continuous strong occupancy and has become a stylish new landmark on the Redcliffe Peninsular.
“Redcliffe is one of Brisbane’s fastest growing corridors and developments such as Mon Komo were developed to satisfy the demand for quality accommodation suited to both leisure and corporate markets,” said Ms Scott.
The resort is just footsteps from the famous partrolled Sutton’s Beach and close to Scarborough Marina which has direct access to Moreton Bay. Conference facilitates are also set to open soon which will further stamp Redcliffe on the map as the ideal destination to combine both business and leisure.
Oaks Hotels & Resorts are now looking forward to the Queensland Tourism Awards on Friday November 4th where Oaks Mon Komo will again compete and hopefully secure another coveted award.
