Melbourne

Melbourne has been ranked as one of the world’s most livable cities and is a very multicultural and sophisticated city.

Melbourne can be easily accessed by both international and domestic travellers, whether the mode of transport is car, bus, train or air. Once visitors are in Melbourne City it is very easy to navigate around because everything is in close walking distance. However, if you prefer public transport simply hop aboard a tram, train or bus.

The city is vibrant and full of energy that’s why the residents and tourist just love Melbourne. It is set around Port Phillip Bay and offers visitors a wide range of holiday experiences. Major tourist attractions include St Kilda Beach, The Giant Sky Wheel, The Eureka Sky Deck, Luna Park, Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Zoo and Crown Casino. The Wonderland Fun Park is a new fun park located at Harbour Town Shopping Centre,  Docklands which is great for the kids.

If you are a keen shopper there are plenty of options available to you. Chapel Street is well known for its shopping and offers a variety of clothing stores. You can also find a number of art and design stores here and on Flinders Lane in the CBD and Brunswick East. There are numerous markets held around different areas of Melbourne some of these include The Queen Victoria Markets, North Melbourne Markets, Flemington Racecourse Markets and the St Kilda Esplanade Markets.

Tourists can enjoy a multitude of peaceful landscaped gardens such as the Melbourne Botanical Gardens and Ian Potter Foundation Children's Garden. Visit the educational museums and historic sites, some of these include the Flemington Heritage Center, Melbourne Museum and the Polly Woodside – Melbourne’s Tall Ship Story.

Melbourne is famous for its restaurants throughout the City centre, Docklands and St Kilda. Wine and dine along the Yarra River, sit and relax at one of many cafes or get set for a night out at some of the coolest bars.

Melbourne also hosts some of Australia’s biggest sporting events including The Spring Racing Carnival, the iconic Melbourne Cup held each November at Flemington Race Track, the Australian Open Tennis Tournament, the Australian Formula One Grand Prix and the AFL Grand Final every September at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

A beautiful city filled with culture and energy that you must be part of.
