On the morning of the 14 November 2012 a total solar eclipse will occur in the sky over Port Douglas. As the rays of the sun emergy from behind the moon the 42km adventure marathon will commence. The event is set to attact 3,000 entrants which will make this event the largest single internation event the region has ever seen. Steve Moneghetti is the official ambassador of the event and has described this Solar Elclipse Marathon as one of the most exciting events on the Australian Sporting Calendar. Entrants from all ages and ability levels are encouraged to enter and there will be packages promoted to suit every budget and requirements. The Solar Eclipse Marathon is being sold as a total holiday experience.
