The Entrance Lake is the ideal aquatic playground for visitors and locals alike to indulge in myriad water pursuits year round including water-skiing, canoeing, sailing, rowing and sailboarding. Fishing is also a most popular pastime and whether you are trawling for a feed of fresh prawns, hooking a snapper or fighting a flathead off the sandy shoals, The Entrance and its surrounding towns (including Terrigal and Ettalong) offers anglers of all abilities the chance to wet a line, have some fun and maybe even claim the catch of the day!

Most attractions are within an easy walk of the town centre including the beach, sea baths, coastal boardwalk, children's playground and park, plus a choice of undercover BBQs and picnic tables to enjoy. There is also Vera's Watergarden, the local shops, cafes and restaurants and weekend markets to ensure there is plenty to see and do. Tuggerah Lake is also not far away and presents as another pristine water playground for boaties and fisherman, with multiple boat ramps and several boat hire outlets for those that want to have a day out on the water too.
Join the locals for the Central Coast Country Music Festival. Held over three days on the second full weekend in March, the festival boasts a fantastic line up of country music performers and is one of the area’s most popular annual events. Held at Memorial Park, The Entrance, as well as other local venues within the Wyong Shire and Gosford City, most shows are free to attend. And with the popular Poet's Breakfast, Busking Competition, Line Dancing Displays, Stalls and Amusement Rides there is something for the whole family to enjoy.
In winter, Memorial Park, The Entrance is home to the Winter Blues and Jazz festival; another free event to please every taste in music offering a fantastic line up of local, emerging and established artists.
